The Shift

Just months after relocating from Ohio to North Carolina, I was shifted into a season that would drastically change my entire life and the lives of those around me. Separated from comfort, security, and everything familiar, God placed me in a season where I truly could not call on or depend on anyone but Him.

That season consisted of pruning, discomfort, and many tears. Nothing made sense anymore. While it felt as though God was breaking me down in this season, it turns out He was building me up. He was shaping and refining me to carry something I wasn't nearly ready for.

The Vision

In the middle of that season, a vision was placed on my heart to merge my love of creative projects with my deep belief that everyday moments can become sacred ones. The vision was to go beyond being a fragrance brand to be a lifestyle brand that would do more than create beautiful scents. It would create products that offered healing, comfort, and an invitation to encounter God's presence in ordinary spaces during ordinary moments.

I journaled the vision, but I tucked it away.

The Leap

As a mother of three, and with a career that demanded most of my capacity, the vision remain tucked away for a while. Eventually I was faced with a decision that had no safe answer: remain in financial security or step into the unknown with nothing but faith that God would work things out.

As you can see, I chose faith.

The road that followed wasn't straight. There was a previous attempt that didn't survive. A closed door that felt like a loss but turned out to be a correction. While I initially felt like the vision was cancelled, turns out God was just redefining it instead. He was doing exactly what He promised in Isaiah 43:2, walking with me through the fire, ensuring that when I came out on the other side, the flames had not consumed me. But instead, they had refined me.

The Arrival

Anchored in the Waves wasn't born from a moment of inspiration. It was born from a sustained season of being held by God in the middle of circumstances that had no easy resolution. The name was prayed over and very intentional. Not anchored above the waves. Not anchored after the waves. Anchored in them, because that's where most of us actually live, and that's exactly where God longs to meet us.

Every product and every scent was created inside a spiritual season. Whether surrender, clarity, grief, or hope, each one carries a story and a purpose. That purpose is to help carry women through their own seasons, with the prayer that they find comfort in God's presence, space to breathe, and a reminder that they're never alone in the water.

The Invitation

This brand exists for the woman who is holding on. The one who's still standing, even when standing is hard. Whatever wave you are facing, just know you are not facing it alone. He is in it with you, and so are we.
